confused

ok, please bear with me.

I am new to android, coming from IOS, i will say i love the freedom of droid....but now comes the confusion....I understand that rooting and jailbreaking are basically the same thing, hat allows for more control,over your device. Now that we have a someone from that is helping with developement ect., does that men we have a possibilty of getting a custom 3.1 or 3.2 rom? what at this point would be a benefit of rooting the tab? once the process is complete or near completion, please put up a video for us newbs.

There are many benefits of rooting. There are a lot of apps in the market that require root and it will also allow you to install custom firmware in the future.
