im researching these two apps to see which one is better, i saw that there is a SyncSMS thread further down where ppl have been using it, but i saw Textab on the XDA forums and did a bit of research on it aswell. Textab is getting better reviews on the market but SyncSMS is being used by the people on this forum, any thoughts or inputs?

I personally use SyncSMS since I didn't know about Textab. I can't really compare the two but I do know that SyncSMS hasn't given me any issue and that I like how it is set up. Maybe I will try Textab to compare, then I would be able to give you a better answer.

After reading your post I decided to try Textab. The biggest difference between the two is that one uses bluetooth and the other data. As I have more chances of having my phone and no tablet then the other way around, I now like Textab better (mostly because data keeps crapping out on my Xperia Play. Can't wait to get my Bold 9780 next week). It's also faster then SyncSMS.

Ive been using textab for the past week and its awesome, i use it with my htc glacier and it runs nice and smooth, no complaints

I have been using SyncSMS across a couple of different devices (multiple accounts, tablets and phones) and I love it.
My only problem with it is I can't seem to get encrypted messages to work correctly.
Other than that - it works very well.

I had to send my HTC Sensation back (overheating) and was using syncsms. Now while i wait on my Sensation I've had to fallback onto an crapphone. Anybody know if textab will work with iPhones since it uses bluetooth or is it an android only app?

Because SyncSMS interacts with the SMS spool - I doubt that an crapphone would work with it.
