LG Dock

Picking up a genuine LG Dock tomorrow and will post a review when I get my grubby little hands on it. Just reserving this space for it.

Really? Interesting, I didn't even know they made a dock for the g-slate. Let us know how it turns out.

So far this thing is pretty cool. Didn't get to play with it much before I had to head to work but so far I'm pretty impressed. Retail is 59.99. It has a built in usb, hdmi, AC adapter ports (included an additional ac adapter). Also came with a little metal surround for the hdmi port on the slate to reinforce it. Fits snugly in the dock and slightly slants it back for viewing. I am awaiting my hmdi cable that I ordered from amazon and once that is in I will review the dock functionality with the hdmi connected to my home AV system.

Wow I really need to get this. Nice pics...I'm drooling over this thing. This would be perfect for me to watch movies or TV shows.

Just in case you weren't aware, make sure you get the little metal piece out of the dock box that applies to the HDMI port. A little extra protection for the port. :-)

Nice, will probably pick it up when I get a few extra bucks, really lusting for a OEM car dock! So I can use this baby in car mode!

Using this thing in a car would be amazing, especially as a GPS lol!

I had the car dock kit for the Tab and to be honest never used it... I couldnt find a place to put it... not in my Silverado or my Prius....might be able to suction cup it to the tank on my motorcycle!!!

As an update to the home dock. This thing is awesome. I received my gizmodorks accessory kit from Amazon.com today . It included soft shell carrying case, hdmi - mini hdmi cord and another micro usb cable. All for $17.99. Not bad considering the cheapest I could find just the HDMI cable locally was $24.99.

I hooked up the dock to my 42" Pansonic plasma and the picture was great. Slightly dark but it may be settings on the tv itself. I watched a movie that was in a compressed DIVX format and it seemed pretty clear a little dark as stated but may have to adjust the settings. Also really nice because I don't have a web app enabled tv and no other devices that play Pandora besides computers. I fired up the Pandora app and turned up the volume on my AV receiver and jammed out. Great sound transfer.

I will attempt to get some pictures tomorrow of the setup. I will also write up a review of the GizmoDorks kit in another post for those whose care to read.

I have one too. Its awesome. But if you call T-Mobile customer service, they're selling it for $40. But you have to call. Its not on the internet anywhere! And they are selling it for $70 in the T-Mobile stores! I think that price is for a limited time, though. I got mine 2 weeks ago.

Also the 10 foot hdmi mini cable is going for $7 on Amazon. Its also a must have.

I only paid $40 for mine also. Super secret squirrel deals. LOL. I also only pay $10 /month for 5gb. HEHE.

Find a hot T-Mobile chick. LOL. Just looked again and its actually $20. But still better then $40 or $50 whatever retail is.

One T-Mobile chick set it up so they think I work at WalMart and I get a 15% discount on whatever. At least by the looks of my bill they weren't lying.

Nice. My wife works for T-Mobile. So we have all our phones through the employee plan.

Ah. Well, I get a 15% military discount on all things T-Mobile...so I can't complain about that. And then I got my G-Slate for $429 instead of the $629 they were asking in-store...so I can't really complain about that either.

I actually purchased it ina retail store. There was another user stating you can call customer care and they have some. Other then that you literally cannot find it online. Even T-Mobile themselves don't advertise it.

Wow I wonder when they finally put it up there.

I called T-Mo on Fri and they said $79.99. Either way, even $69.99 is too damn much in my opinion. I'm going to fashion something out of my kids lego's...haha

I am still trying to think of a reason to get one of these?
