3.1 update Aug 10th

just read the L-06c version will recieve android 3.1 on the 10th after 1500jst....finally...read here but you may need a translator unless you read kanji

Ive been waiting for an update for a long time, just wondering if this is available for the US version LG V909 on the 10th (today) aswell. the other forums have been saying the 8th or 9th, but nothing as of yet.

I just restarted my G-Slate -- no dice yet. Will advise.

couple sites said it would be rolled out over the next few days, I didnt do a force update check, you can do it in the settings, about button....but i went to sleep woke up and there was a notification, about an update to install.

So - did you get the update?

Very cool - is it faster? like on the unlock screen - does the little circle thing follow your finger no matter how fast you spin it around inside the circle?

And - RRRRRRrrrrrr - Me as well (Former - not living in Oki)

Also - does it have a 3D camera and movie editor?

That sucks - there is a 3D camera app on the LG Optimus 3D. I will have to try to find one and see if I can pull the app...

the Xoom has a video editor - it kicks ass. But I doubt that it would be able to do anything with the 3D videos.

G-Slate 3.1 OTA Update

Beginning today, a software update is available for the T-Mobile G-Slate. This over-the-air (OTA) update upgrades the Android operating system from version 3.0 to 3.1. The update will be delivered in a staggered fashion to all G-Slate customers. A notice will appear on your tablet when the update is available for you to install. T-Mobile representatives cannot expedite the delivery of the update or push the update to tablets by request.



Android 3.1 allows customers to enjoy the tablet experience even more by adding user interface enhancements and features, including:



Google Videos - A new Videos app has been added that allows you to buy and rent movies.
Recent apps list expanded - The recent apps list has been expanded to show all apps recently used. After opening the apps list, touch one of the apps to access it.
Home screen resizable widgets - Widgets built-in to Android 3.0 (Calendar, Email, Gmail, etc.) can now be resized vertically or horizontally on any one of the five home screens.
USB accessory support - Customers can now attach a keyboard, pointing device, or gamepad to the G-Slate for use with typing, gaming, etc.



In addition to the enhancements, this software update is expected to improve the following:



Force close issues in the Google Talk and Music applications
Improved browser and widget responsiveness

i have got the update on mine i got it by restarting it and i finally got it.

theres this guy aaron on Android police, idk if anyones seen this yet, heres a way to check for updates via a shortcut on your homepage.

You manually check for the update:

1. Install Anycut
2. New Shortcut
3. Activity
4. Hidden Menu (There are a gazillion entries for this, pick the 2ND one.
5. Scroll all the way to the bottom and select OTA Update Test
6. Google OTA Update Server Check-in
7. Run the other tests to see if it's available for you yet.

(skip step 4, clicking the hidden menu button wasnt working for me, didnt give me the OTA update option, i had to scroll all the way down to find it after step 3, so go step 3 to 5)

ive been doing it religiously every hour for the past 2 days and nothings came up.

oddly enough, HC 3.1 watch has been more intriguing than the last 3 presidential elections

Btw, i didnt buy my G Slate through Tmo, would i still receive the update?

im not pn a data plan. i tether or use my wifi so i hope i dont get left out
