Only issue i have with the G-slate.

Is the speaker output volume. Its not bad if im in a quiet room, but anywhere else, even outside on the porch on a quiet night, its hard to hear any video or music. Its not bad at all with headphones which is whatni have been using but it sucks if there are videos i want to share and we are both crowded closely around it and cant hear it too well.

I've heard that other tablets are even worse because their speakers are on the rear-facing side. Ours are at least on the side. I think it's the Asus tablet has them on the front, but it's the only one I'm sure.

It's an industry-wide problem, even with the Ipad2.

I haven't gotten around to testing it yet, but I know there are several apps available on the market that increase the output volume beyond what the system says it is capable of. One app I know of can increase the volume to almost 200%.

But you have to be very careful when using these apps, because prolong use of your tablets speakers at such a high volume level can easily damage them permanently, and then you will end up with everything sounding distorted, even on low levels.

I use an app called Volume+ on my N1. It works great, but I don't turn it above 110%.

Thanks, might check out one of the apps just out of curiosity. This is my first tab so I was wondering if it was a G-Slate specific problem. It just seems like my Blackberry speaker is as loud if not louder than what I am getting out of the tab which has 3 speakers.

I have a fix for this issue if you guys care to know it. Download an application called volume+. You can get it from applanet if you guys have it.

This application allows you to raise the volume of the tablet. No root needed. It gets much louder, just be careful because you can potentially ruin your speakers if you blast it too loud.

Could you post your optimal settings with this app? That would be good so we have something to compare to.

To be honest there isn't much to set. Just check off speaker modification, then set the volme level for +4. Yoi can go a bit louder. I've gone all the way to +8. But for most situations +4 - +6 is good. If the sound is distorted or cracking. Then you probably have it too loud.

You shouldnt need to change any other settings.

Yea. Ive been using it for a while. Ive been reading is forum since day 1. I created the first g slate read on xda. Yet they still have no section for us. I judt decided to share my solution. :-)

Volume+ does a FC when I plug in a headphone but it works with the speakers at the +4 very nicely with no distortion.

Can't find a proper download of Volume +, isn't on android market, or it's called something different than volume + Found one on audiovolumehacks.com but it doesn't let you register properly to download it

they sell the 3D glasses for the Slate on Amazon and they have them in stock at most T-Mobile stores!

You need the red and blue ones! Yes, more than likely they will all be lower quality because they are the most basic 3D glasses you can get. I recommend getting a pair that is at least made with plastic. Please don't get cardboard ones lol.
